Skoda has recently released some new images of its Vision D Concept, a vehicle which is previewing the next generation of the Octavia model.
This isn’t the first time when the Vision D Concept, made by the Czech based manufacturer Skoda, is presented to the public and the vehicle debuted earlier this year, at the Geneva Motor Show. What is mostly interesting about this concept is that it’s actually a preview to future models of the automaker and most likely a preview to the next generation of the Skoda Octavia. The Skoda Vision D Concept stands on the basis of the Mission L concept, revealed in September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
“The car has a strong, sporty look which conveys a beautiful simplicity and a youthful and contemporary appearance”, as Skoda said in its official press release.
The Skoda Vision D Concept is one attractive ride, but as experience tells us, the Czech based automaker will probably reveal a different production version, which will cut down some manufacturing costs and the final product won’t look anything like the Vision D. The mid-size concept made by Skoda will be the basis of the third generation of the Octavia model, which will have a near-production debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 2012, and it will be followed by the production version later that year, with a final market launch set for early 2013.
