The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the Prius facelift has been launched in Malaysia, where the popular eco model has a starting price of RM139,900.

After the car manufacturer has announced, not too long ago, that the smaller Prius C has been launched in Malaysia, time has come for its bigger brother, the Prius facelift, to become available for its future customers on the Asian auto market. According to the automaker, the Toyota Prius facelift for Malaysia isn’t coming with noticeable differences compared to the current version and it has a restyled lower grille, which is improving both pedestrian protection and air intake, LED daytime running lights, the fog lamps have been repositioned, new rear lights have been added, along with a new color, named the Bordeaux Mica Metallic.

In the cabin, the Toyota Prius facelift is coming with black theme, new plastics textures, the front armrest and cup holders have been redesigned, a Head-Up Display has been added to project speed and the Hybrid Eco Monitor, a 6.1-inch touch screen has also been added, along with Bluetooth and USB connection, a reverse camera, 8-Green Edge speaker and 8-channel amplifier system made by JBL. Features like seven airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, VSC and TRC are also available, along with keyless entry and start, Touch Tracer and cruise control.

Under the hood, the Toyota Prius facelift is still offering the Hybrid Synergy Drive system made out of the 1.8 liter engine, which is developing 99 PS and 142 Nm of torque, and the electric motor which is generating 82 PS and 207 Nm, to a combined total output of 136 PS. Prices for the facelifted Toyota Prius in Malaysia start at RM139,900 on the road with insurance.
