The Volvo S60 Polestar Performance Concept has been officially revealed by the Swedish based automaker and its partner, Polestar.
According to the car manufacturer, the Volvo S60 Polestar is powered by a turbocharged Volvo T6 inline six-cylinder engine, which is developing a total output of 508 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 575 Nm (424 lb-ft). All this power is being sent to the wheels through a close ratio six-speed manual transmission, which is “feeding” the Haldex Gen4 XWD (cross-wheel-drive) system. The Volvo S60 Polestar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of more than 300 km/h (186 mph).
As you can see from the images posted below this article, the Volvo S60 Polestar is coming with modified front and rear bumper, and the rear one is incorporating the Ferrita 4.5 inch stainless steel exhaust system. The powerful vehicle is standing on Rims Polestar 9.5×19-inch rims, wrapped in 265/30 tires. The Volvo S60 Polestar is also coming with three-way shock absorbers, reinforced anti-roll bar in the front and in the rear, a Polestar tuned EPHAS steering, modified engine mounts, reinforced bushings in sub-frame and control arms, stabilizing X- members in front and rear, a 20 mm front and 40 mm rear increased track and many more, including the Polestar-Brembo braking system, widened body, Polestar designed seats, Alcantara on seats, steering wheel and gear knob and others.
The Volvo S60 Polestar will go against the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the Audi RS4, and the model is coming to life thanks to the collaboration between Volvo and Polestar. The “birth” of the Volvo S60 Polestar has been officially presented to the public, in its pre-production form, during the Gothenburg City Race.
