The famous Italian design company Pininfarina has recently released more official images with its latest creation, the Sergio Concept.
After it was officially presented to the public in a world premiere during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show last week, the Pininfarina Sergio Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the company releasing more official images with the model. According to Pininfarina, the Sergio Concept is based on the Ferrari 458 Spider and the interior design is similar to the one used on the supercar made in Maranello.
“The capacity of taking an existing car and making a unique product reinforces our coachbuilding roots. The concept encapsulates the three basic values of Pininfarina’s DNA – elegance purity and innovation. The fourth value is emotion: elegant, pure design but always expressed through emotion”, said Fabio Fillipini, the Pininfarina design director.
The Pininfarina Sergio Concept is 4,550 mm long, 1,940 mm wide and 1,140 mm tall. The model has a carbon fiber body which is 10 percent lighter than the aluminum panels used on the Ferrari 458 Spider. The Pininfarina Sergio Concept can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 320 km/h. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
