Ferrari will be putting together six units of the Pininfarina Sergio and all of these have been apparently sold out.
One of the hottest looking concept cars made these past few years is the Pininfarina Sergio and if you thought that the company has forgotten all about it, think again, because according to a recent report, Ferrari will be assembling six units. All of them have been pre-sold to some customers selected by Ferrari from Europe, United States and Asia. Ferrari didn’t announce a price but chances are this will stand in the 7-figure zone.
The Pininfarina Sergio has been based on the Ferrari 458 Spider and it is taking its power from the same 4.5 liter V8 engine, connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which is sending power to the rear wheels. The total output produced by the unit stands at 562 HP. The model hasn’t got a windshield but designers have inserted a wing into the front bumper which is improving the aerodynamics. The roadster is 150 kg lighter than the production Ferrari and it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
