The new generation of the Porsche Carrera 4S has been recently named Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car.
Motor Trend has recently named its Best Driver’s Car for 2013, clinic which is the new Porsche Carrera 4S generation. This represents the second consecutive year when a 911 version has won the award and it’s coming right after the 911’s 50th anniversary celebration.
“The 911 Carrera 4S has terrific balance, clinic telepathic steering, a potent engine, and a lightning quick transmission”, said the Motor Trend Editor-in-Chief, Ed Loh.
The Porsche Carrera 4S has been officially presented to the public back in September 2012, during the Paris Motor Show. The sports car is powered by a 3.8 liter boxer engine, which is producing a total output of 400 HP, at 7,400 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 440 Nm, available at 5,600 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels through a seven-speed PDK transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint in the Carrera 4S takes 4.2 seconds and top speed is 297 km/h. The average fuel consumption is 9.1L / 100 km.
