Porsche 911 GT3 (997) gets upgraded by KAEGE image

The aftermarket specialists from KAEGE have recently introduced a new upgrade kit aimed towards the previous generation of the Porsche 911 GT3, the 997.

The 991 may have been introduced a few years ago but that doesn’t mean that its predecessor, the 997, has shown everything it is capable of and with such a big fan club across the globe, updates for the sports car are always welcomed. The model pictured below has been signed by KAEGE. It has lost about 60 kg (132 lbs) from its total weight thanks to the RS rear window, the new lithium-ion battery, the lighter exhaust system, the Sachs sports clutch, the removal of the navigation system and electric power steering pump and several other tweaks.

Some changes have been made to the cabin too where we can find the same color as the body for the rollover and the center console, while the lightweight seats have received the checkered fabric matched with a travel bag. We also have to mention the custom KW Clubsport coilover suspension system and the 19-inch ATS Superlight wheels, which have been wrapped in Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires. The 3.6 liter flat six-cylinder engine is now capable of producing a total output of 438 HP (322 kW), 23 HP (17 kW) more than before. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the sports car needs 4.3 seconds and top speed stands at 310 km/h (193 mph). Sadly the tuner hasn’t released any pricing details at this time.
