Porsche 911 GT3 RS is now part of the Lego Technic roster image

Lego Technic has recently rekindled our fond memories of young adulthood when we were focusing on its builds after it took the wraps off its new scale model for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

To get everything…err, accurate, Lego Technic has developed the kit in close partnership with Porsche, with the scale model featuring 2,704 different pieces and wearing a bright orange exterior with contoured surfaces. The happy owners will also get to bring to their new ride some red suspension springs, an adjustable rear spoiler, and yellow brake calipers that hide behind very realistic wheels. The attention to detail is the same when discussing the cabin with Lego fans treated to a realistic dashboard, racing seats, and a steering wheel with gearshift paddles. As an Easter Egg, there’s even a glove compartment that contains a unique serial number that can then be used by the owner to uncover additional Lego-related content.

When all is done, the Technic kit will be… well, a Technic kit. The Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS will also pack a ix-cylinder boxer engine with moving pistons as well as a fully functional dual-clutch transmission with four gears. If you still have time after or during the build, there’s also a comprehensive collector’s book with full background info on the model’s development and some pretty neat insights into the assembly process of the road-going car. The Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS is scheduled to hit select Lego stores, in Germany and Austria, on June 1st. It will also be available online and starting August 1 more stores will be added to the roster.
