The German automaker has recently unveiled a new special edition, outed in the honor of the iconic 24H Le Mans race – and this might have smiled with the racing gods.
That’s because the carmaker snatched an unlikely victory in front of the leading Toyota vehicle – with the latter grinding to a halt with around four minutes to the victory. Blockbuster heart-stopping finishes were not exactly the strong point of endurance racing – but then again, you know reality sometimes beats fantasy. The 911 Carrera S Endurance Racing Edition comes from the guys that make up the brand’s in-house customizer Porsche Exclusive and has been adorned with decals that pay homage to the modern racecars. The Endurance Racing Edition’s tirals and tribulations include the phrase “Porsche Intelligent Performance” running from start to finish. They are also lettered rather hard to distinguish – the windshield and rear glass break up the words. But the buyers can explain everything by just pointing to the same letters written on the center armrest.
The limited model will come with black decals over a white or Guards Red body. There’s also the availability of black hue with grey stickers, apparently. No matter the color choice, they all come with black emblems and 20-inch gloss black alloys. Porsche Exclusive also added red accents for the seat belts, floor mat edges, and a band around the top of the GT Sport steering wheel. Racing also exudes through the carbon fiber trim used here and there, such as the glove compartment and illuminated door sills. Among the goodies we can also highlight the Sport Chrono package, sports exhaust, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, and rear-axle steering.
