The German based automaker Porsche is planning to develop a 50th Anniversary Edition of the 911 model, which will make its public debut next year during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Porsche is currently trying to keep the new anniversary edition into the shadows for the moment officially speaking but in a recent interview, with motoring.com.au, the company’s 911 product line director has said an interesting thing.
“We did not forget this (the 50th anniversary)… there is something prepared, something special”, as he told the source mentioned above. “What it is you will have to wait and see”, he added.
Besides not forgetting the golden anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911, the German based automaker is also planning to unveil a variety of new 911 variants which will most likely include the Turbo grand tourer, the track focused GT3, the glass roof Targa or even the insane GT2 but, just like with the 911 50th Anniversary Edition, the carmaker is trying to keep them a secret for the moment. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the upcoming Porsche 911 in its gold edition or on the new variety of 911 models, but the sports car will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, 2013.
