The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder has recently made its dynamic debut over the past weekend, during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
After it was spied numerous times and presented across the globe in several prototype versions, the Porsche 918 Spyder is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker bringing it to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the “green” hypercar has made its dynamic debut. The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder will become a direct rival for models already available for order, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1, and the supercar will go on sale in September.
The Porsche 918 Spyder will be powered by a 4.0 liter V8 engine, which will be backed up by electric motors, producing a total output of 795 HP and 575 lb-ft of torque. The 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration will be done in less than 3.0 seconds and top speed will stand at just over 200 mph (320 km/h). The model should return 94.1 mpg UK and the CO2 emissions should stand at 70 g/km. Additional details on the model will be announced soon.
