The impressive Porsche 918 Spyder is currently sold out as the car company has recently announced.
If you were hoping on buying a brand new Porsche 918 Spyder, straight from the car manufacturer, you will be disappointed to find out that the hybrid supercar is currently sold out. The announcement has been made recently by Porsche which said that out of the 918 units aimed for the entire globe, most of them have been bought by Americans, 297 to be more precise, and in China and Germany, the company sold about 100 units, in both countries. You still have a possibility of buying such a hypercar as some of them end up on the web, for sale.
The Porsche 918 Spyder has been officially presented to the public last year, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This is a hybrid supercar, a competitor for the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, and it is packing a 4.6 liter V8 engine under its hood, rated at 608 HP (453 kW) and 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque, backed up by two electric motors, with 279 HP (208 kW). The total output stands at 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft). From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs just 2.6s and top speed stands at 345 km/h (214 mph).
