The German based automaker Porsche is planning to introduce the future 918 Spyder with an 875 BHP powertrain.
The Porsche 918 Spyder in its production version is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of a TeamSpeed member, who has also ordered the LaFerrari and the McLaren P1. According to our source, the final production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder will get an increased output, from 795 BHP (593 kW) to 875 BHP (652 kW), a number made possible after updating the 4.6 liter V8 engine. The “green” supercar will be able to lap the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes.
The final production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder will look different than the concept versions or the pre-production models and it will also be lighter than originally expected. The new supercar made by Porsche will get a four-wheel steering system and a targa top, which should make it more popular than its direct rivals, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1. The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder will be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere.
