The German based automaker Porsche has recently announced its plans to introduce the 919 Hybrid and the 911 RSR tomorrow, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The Porsche 919 Hybrid will be making its debut tomorrow, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question is a racer which will mark the company’s return in LMP1, with drivers Romain Dumas, Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Neel Jani, as well as works drivers Brendon Hartley and Marc Lieb. The Porsche 919 Hybrid will be powered by a 2.0 liter V4 direct injected turbocharged gasoline burner, which will be working alongside two energy recuperation systems (ERS and KERS).
Besides the 919 Hybrid, Porsche will be also bringing the 911 RSR to the Swiss automotive event. This is powered by a 4.0 liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which is developing a total output of 460 HP (338 kW) and it’s mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. The 911 RSR will be used by the Porsche AG Team Manthey. More details on the 919 Hybrid and 911 RSR will be announced during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Porsche will also be bringing the 918 Spyder, along with a “surprise” model, to the Swiss automotive event.
