Just one year after its initial market launch in Europe, the Porsche Panamera has exceeded sales expectations with customer deliveries of 22,518 internationally.

In the U.S., where Porsche’s fourth model line was introduced in October of 2009, sales of the Panamera are already at 6,188. In Germany, where the Panamera is built at Porsche’s production facility in Leipzig, 2,530 cars were delivered.

In the U.S., some 890 vehicles are already cruising the streets of Los Angeles and 760 on the streets of New York.

“Our corporate strategy of value-oriented growth has proven itself to be a successful model: With the Panamera, Porsche has clearly positioned itself with the sportiest automobile in the high-end and luxury-class market and achieves already a 13 percent share of its segment today,” summarized Bernhard Maier, Member of the Management Board for Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG.
