The German automaker has decided to gift future Cayenne owners with the option to take home the new Platinum Edition, which includes design tweaks and even more standard equipment.

Set to reach dealerships later this year, the Cayenne Platinum Edition comes with subtle styling revisions such as gloss black finishing touches and 20-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels. This limited run model will also have as standard features amenities such as auto-dimming rearview mirrors, rear privacy glass, and a ParkAssist system. There are also other goodies including a Power Steering Plus system and bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System. The cabin has been lightly touched and now comes with eight-way power leather and Alcantara sport seats with embossed headrests. Entertainment duties are handled by the Porsche Communication Management system, Bose surround sound system, and serving as a reminder are special door plates with “Platinum Edition” badges.

The Old Continent will have the Cayenne Platinum Edition in two powertrain guises: 3.0-liter V6 diesel delivering 262 horsepower and the plug-in hybrid setup mating a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine to an electric motor. US-spec models will be featuring the plug in hybrid or a 3.6-liter V6 engine putting out 300 hp. The prices in Europe start from €74,352 for the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition and €90,298 for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition. American drivers will have to pay $65,600 for the standard model and $81,600 if they want the green option.
