Porsche will soon introduce a diesel powered Macan across the United States, as the announcement has been recently made by the company. According to the guys from Automotive News, who have recently spoken to the Porsche North America’s vice president of Marketing, Andre Oosthuizen, the model in question will be introduced at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and it should go on sale in the same year or even in early 2016.
Our source is also saying that the Porsche Macan Diesel is expected to cost less than 60,000 USD, once it will be hitting the market, and if it will be similar to the one offered in other markets, than it will come in a Macan S Diesel form, which has a 3.0 liter V6 unit under its hood, producing no less than 258 HP (190 kW). The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration is made in 6.3 seconds and top speed stands at 143 mph (230 km/h). More details on the U.S. version of the Macan S Diesel are limited for the moment.
