New details on the Porsche Macan have recently surfaced and are telling us what we wanted to know mostly, the engine lineup of the upcoming premium SUV.
The Porsche Macan has been spied numerous times on the road, with absolutely no camouflage on its body, so its exterior design is no longer a surprise for anyone, but one of the best kept secrets until now, its engine lineup, is bringing the model into everyone’s attention, once again. According to the guys at Jalopnik, two different engines will be available in the United States, and probably more across the Old Continent.
The units in question are believed to be V6s, with one of them getting a 3.0 liter displacement and about the same power as the one in the Panamera S, 420 HP. The other engine will be a 3.6 liter Bi-Turbo, and this is believed to power the Porsche Macan Turbo. Rumors are saying that this version will get just under 500 HP. Both units will get a 7-speed PDK transmission as standard, once they will go on sale in 2014. Additional details on the Porsche Macan remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced close to its launch.
