New details on the Porsche Macan have recently hit the web and the model is expected to make its way onto the market in spring, 2014.
After being spied with no camouflage on its body a lot of times over these past few months, the Porsche Macan is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with some rumors, which are saying that the model will hit the market in spring 2014. The Porsche Macan will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, in November, and its starting price is expected to stand at approximately 36,000 GBP. The model will be produced in Leipzig, Germany.
The Porsche Macan will ride on the same MLB platform which is also underpinning the Audi Q5 and some other models, and it will be offered exclusively with four-wheel drive. The crossover will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines, including the turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit with 220 HP, the 3.6 liter V6 naturally aspirated with 296 HP or the 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 with 370 HP which will be known as the Macan Turbo. Diesel options will include a 2.0 liter TDI engine producing 190 HP and a larger 3.0 liter V6 TDI with 250 HP. A hybrid powertrain is also expected to make its way into the Porsche Macan, which will be probably “borrowed” from the Audi Q5 Hybrid.
