
And to mark this special event, a Boxster Spyder with Platinum Silver metallic finish and Carrera red natural leather interior trim will roll off the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen production line in June, destined for a customer in Germany.
After 15 years, the actual model range currently comprises the four open-topped variants, the Boxster, Boxster S, Boxster S Black Edition and Boxster Spyder. These are complemented by the Cayman, Cayman S, Cayman S Black Edition and Cayman R Coupes.
Talking about the engines and power, the Boxster S Black Edition is powered by an 3.4-liter flat-6 engine delivering 320 horsepower. With the optional PDK seven-speed double-clutch gearbox, the Boxster S gallops from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 170 mph.
On the same time, the Cayman S Black Edition is capable to hit 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. Compared to the Boxster S Black Edition, this one has 10 more hp ( 330 in total ), and costs about $67,500.
