Porsche Motorsport North America changes its headquarters from Santa Ana, site California to Carson, there California, near Motor Trend’s El Segundo HQ.
This new 53-acre facility will be called the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles, expected to become a heaven on earth for Southern California auto enthusiasts. This amazing center will feature its own test track, off-road area with 45-degree in- and declines, and a handling course, with special surfaces which can replicate snow, ice and rain.
Porsche’s new center is focused on improving both its drivers’ abilities, as well as its employees’. The facility will offer a Porsche Human Performance Center with sports science lab to get factory racecar drivers into their best physical condition. The center will also provide a Porsche gift shop with Porsche Design branded products, a Porsche Café and restaurants.
The construction of the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles County will begin this summer and will be completed by the end of 2013. The center is expected to create 135 jobs and provide ongoing operations of $22.5 million in annual economic activity.
