Porsche sales in August up 20.8%, new model confirmed for Paris Motor Show image

The German based automaker Porsche has recently announced that the August sales have increased by 20.8 percent and that a new model will be presented at the Paris Motor Show.

Porsche has delivered 10,912 units in August to customers all over the world, which means a 20.8 percent increase in sales compared to the same month of 2011, while from the beginning of 2012 until now, Porsche has sold 92,474 cars, which can be translated into a 15.0 increase compared to tha same period of 2011.

1,559 units of the new Porsche 911 were sold in August (+29.5%), 850 units of the new Boxster have found new owners (+32.0%) and 6,331 Cayenne vehicles were delivered to customers (+36,0%). China has played, once again, a main role in Porsche’s sales last month and the Stuttgart based carmaker has reported a 28.4% increase in the Asian country to 2,882 sales.

Besides the increased sales, the car manufacturer is also announcing a new model which will be officially presented to the Paris Motor Show on the 27th of September. Porsche will bring the Carrera 4 and the Carrera 4S to the French automotive event, but, besides these, the company is working these “days” on several models, including the 911 GT3, the 911 Spyder, the Macan SUV and the facelifted Panamera, so anyone of these vehicles might be revealed in a couple of weeks.
