Porsche Automobil Holding SE, the German automaker plans to launch a new four-door coupe somewhere in 2015.
It will be known to the public as the Porsche 960, but internally the engineers are calling it the Fefi (Ferrari Fighter) which confirms the market the new model will be targeted towards.
The vehicle will use a twin-turbo flat-six engine, not a V8.
The MSB Platform is quite a flexible system and can be used for a wide range of high-performance models. The engine can go anywhere in the MSB – front, mid, or rear – an it can be rear- or all-wheel-drive depending on the type of car it’s being used for.
Porsche plans to use this chassis for the next-generation Panamera plus a possible sedan called Pajun the size of a BMW 5 Series. A smaller Bentley sedan could also be made off this platform, though no announcement has been made about such a car.
