The German based automaker Porsche has recently released the first images with the LMP1 sports prototype, which will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year.
Porsche’s latest creation in terms of racing cars is an LMP1 sports prototype. The model has been recently unveiled by the company and it will make its racing debut next year, during the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“I was involved in the development of the new car right from the outset. I’m very proud that I was the one to take our baby through its first paces today. Already now the car feels great. I look forward to testing the vehicle in the coming weeks and months with my friend and colleague Romain Dumas”, said Timo Bernhard, Porsche’s works driver.
The Porsche LMP1 sports prototype was recently tested in front of the company’s board and it was driven by Timo Bernhard. The company didn’t release many details on the racer but from the images posted below, we can see its prominent rear wing, vertical stabilizer, ventilated fenders, front splitter and LED headlights. Details on the Porsche LMP1 sports prototype are limited for the moment.
