Porsche’s October Sales Up 24% image

Porsche reported October sales up 24.1% to 11, 688 vehicles compared with the same period last year.

During the first ten months of the year Porsche has sold 116, 050 cars, up 15.6% from last year. In China the automaker saw its biggest increase of 57.8% to 2,439 vehicles, while in the Americas, the 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Boxster and Cayman brought an increase of 42.6% to 3,764 units. In the US sales were up 41.5% to 3,211 units.

“Strong sales in the Americas and in Asia in October more than compensated for the purchasing reluctance in Europe,” Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, explains: “We have thus delivered nearly as many vehicles as in the entire previous year in a mere ten months. We are thus expecting strong year-end business.”

Porsche’s best-selling models continues to be the Cayenne, which reached 6,897 units to be sold in October alone, up 34.2%, followed by the 911 with 1,522 units, up 30.8% and the Boxter with 1,149 units sold.
