Skoda has announced the official starting price of the new Superb generation in the United Kingdom, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The world debut of the new Skoda Superb generation has been made recently during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and the company has also announced the official starting price of the model at the same automotive event, for the United Kingdom. According to the Czech based automaker, customers living in the United Kingdom will have to pay at least 18,640 GBP for the flagship Skoda vehicle and this will be rivaling just about anything from the Ford Mondeo to the BMW 3-Series.
The new Skoda Superb generation is riding on the MQB modular platform, made by the Volkswagen Group, but it has received a larger wheelbase, which is basically 80 mm longer than the one of its predecessor. The car’s cabin is getting improved materials and the cargo capacity stands at 625 liters, with the rear seats in place, making it 39 liters more spacious than a VW Passat and 84 liters more spacious than the Ford Mondeo.
Some of the features found on the new Superb include the heated seats, tri-zone climate control, new infotainment system, panoramic glass roof, 12-speaker Canton audio system, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, Crew Protective Assist, Lane Assist and much more. Power is being provided by petrol units rated at between 125 HP (92 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW) and by diesel burners producing between 120 HP 88 kW) and 190 HP (140 kW). No RS version of the Superb is planned.
