The facelifted sport utility vehicle is expected to reach dealerships in the United States this summer and the Japanese automaker has now revealed the pricing info.
With the 2017 Forester in its refreshed guise entering showrooms at prices starting from $22, 595, the new model is just $200 more expensive than its predecessor, but comes with a new front design with restyled fascia and modified grille flanked by refreshed headlights. Other highlights include the new LED taillights, restyled wheels, and a body-color rear spoiler on upper spec trims. Talking of those, the flagship Forester Touring will cost a pretty penny at $34,295 and will be mated to a new and exclusive for the level Sepia Bronze Metallic paint job.
The cabin is more subtle in showcasing freshness but there’s a new multi-function steering wheel and more equipment on the standard list. New extras are also present: a heated steering wheel, a Keyless Access system, and Saddle Brown perforated leather seats with contrast stitching. The Forester also incorporates the latest version of the EyeSight system with color cameras for wider and longer field of vision. Subaru also focused on the premium feel of the model, boasting now a quieter cabin thanks to the additional sound deadening material, thicker door glass, and improved door seals. Under the hood the same engines will be found, the only difference being the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with the Lineartronic CVT continuously variable transmission have better fuel economy of 26 miles per gallon city / 32 mpg highway / 28 mpg combined.
