Prince Harry Car ‘Crash’: Photographer Seeks Compensation image

Back in February, Prince Harry’s car ran over and seriously injured a photographer outside a West End nightclub.

Now the photographer, Tony Margiocchi has launched a legal claim for compensation against the Metropolitan Police.

Fifty four year old Tony Margiocchi an ex-policeman and former soldier, was hit by a Ford Galaxy people carrier outside the Beaufort club in Knightsbridge, as he waited with other members of the press for the Prince, who had been at the exclusive West End club celebrating England’s win over France in the six nations rugby tournament.

Margiocchi suffered serious injury in the collision, breaking his leg and tearing his Achilles tendon. The injury meant that he was unable to work for four months whilst he recovered.

The photographer has now launched a personal injury claim against the Met Police claiming loss of earnings.

A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed that an unmarked police vehicle had been in collision with a man on the day in question.
