The aftermarket specialist has recently taken the wraps off its latest creation, a wide body kit for the A6/RS6 Avant model, which can also be complimented with some additional engine oomph.
The ongoing generation of the A6 has almost ran its course after being for more than five years on the market, but tuners still show a love for the midsize premium model from Ingolstadt. Among the latest is Prior Design, coming up to the party with a fresh wide body conversion for the very practical Avant series – and they deliver the mod for the high-performance RS6 Avant as well if you really want to spice things up. The kit comes with modified front and rear bumpers, muscular side skirts, extended wheel arches and a massive roof-mounted spoiler. The diffuser is also more prominent and the trunk spoiler rounds off the changes nicely. With the kit on, the Audi A6/RS6 Avant will be three inches (8 cm) wider front and 4 inches (10 cm) back.
The showcase model has also been wrapped in a set of 21-inch Vossen VPS-310 alloy wheels with ten-spoke design and matte finish to compliment the body – and there’s also a suspension lowering module from KW. But more importantly Prior Design also delivers some engine upgrade packs. For the 3.0 TDI engine there’s some 98 horsepower (72 kilowatts) and 116 pound-feet (157 Newton meters) on top for a grand total of 411 hp (302 kW) and a maximum torque of 596 lb-ft (807 Nm). The 4.0-liter TFSI V8 beating inside the RS6 will get even more: 110 hp (82 kW) and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) for a massive push of 670 hp (493 kW) and 613 lb-ft (830 Nm).
