Prior Design treats the Porsche Macan to wide body kit image

Prior Design has made the most recent addition to the expanding SUV lineup of the Stuttgart manufacturer – the compact Macan – available with its new PD600M wide body kit.

The aftermarket specialist has ushered the new PD600M wide body kit to improve the aerodynamics of the compact SUV but in the process it has also made the Macan sportier and more aggressive. The beefy looks come packing a bespoke front bumper wearing larger air intakes in order to support engine cooling and the addition of an air splitter increases downforce at the front axle. The more imposing side profile has been created using massively enlarged front and rear wheel arches and a new set of wider side skirts. The styling is wrapped nicely using the roof-mounted spoiler and another spoiler fitted to the tailgate. All of the components of the wide body kit have been produced from a Dura-Flex glass-fiber mixture which – the tuner stresses – will also deliver an “excellent surface finish.”

Standing out in the crowd is not an issue for Prior Design’s take on the Macan and the aftermarket specialists have decided to go all out by using prominent 22-inch Vossen alloy wheels wrapped in Continental SportContact 6 tires. Among the other amenities on order we noticed the aftermarket exhaust system made from stainless steel and wearing a quad tip arrangement. It uses a valve control system for a more exhilarating soundtrack and the exhaust pipes have been fitted to a bespoke rear diffuser. For even more money the Porsche can be treated to an H&R electronic lowering module for the air suspension which decreases ride height by up to 1.3 inches (35 millimeters).
