The production version of the 2014 Acura MDX will be officially presented to the public later on this month, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
Following the prototype’s debut back in January in Detroit, Acura is now placing the final production version of the 2014 MDX into the spotlights probably for the first time, by announcing that the SUV will be officially presented t to the public during the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 27th of March. The 2013 Acura MDX is coming with seven seats and it’s riding on a new platform which Honda says has been improved in order to enhance the ride comfort and increase the fuel efficiency.
The 2014 Acura MDX will be powered by a 3.5 liter gasoline i-VTEC V6 engine, the same one found on the RLX with 310 HP, which has been fitted with VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) and direct injection. The new Acura MDX will get two-wheel drive versions for the first time, along with the company’s SH-AWD system. As for the “goodies” found in its cabin we can mention the AcuraLink Connectivity System, Jewel Eye LED headlights, Multi-Angle Review Camera, Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information, Low-Speed Follow, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and more.
