The production version of the Kia K4 has been recently spotted ahead of its official launch which has been scheduled for this October.
After it has been previewed by a concept car back in April, during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the Kia K4 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some images, showing its production version, which have made their way onto the web. The photos posted below are revealing the new fog lights, the body colored door handles, the smaller wheels and some other tweaks which should set it apart from the concept car seen a couple of months ago.
The new Kia K4 will be riding on the same platform as the Hyundai Mistra, getting a 2.7 meter long wheelbase and standing at 4,72 meters in length. It will slot between the K3 / Cerato and the K5 / Optima and, in its Chinese version, it’s believed to carry a 1.6 liter four-cylinder GDI unit, with a 7-speed transmission, along with a 1.8 liter naturally aspirated with 146 HP and 175 Nm of torque or a 2.0 liter with 162 HP and 194 Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. Prices for the model should start at 140,000 yuan, or the equivalent of 22,500 USD.
