And it will be out on the market in probably next year.
But before rushing over to your local Maserati dealership to get details on it, we have to tell you that this is nothing more than a simple rendering. The image has been put together by TopSpeed and it is providing us with a glimpse into the production version of the company’s first ever SUV.
This has been created using the leaked patent images and the Kubang concept so its design isn’t so far from the final looks of the model. The Maserati Levante will get a similar design to other vehicles in the company’s lineup and this will make it instantly recognizable. We have to mention the new headlights, the lower air intake and the fog lights which are different than the ones used on the concept car. The production version of the premium SUV will also be coming with a more conventional tailgate and with a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Rumors are stating that the engine lineup will include the V6 versions in two outputs, with 350 HP (257 kW) and 425 HP (312 kW), along with the V8, which is rated at more than 560 HP (412 kW). Diesel engines will include units with 250 HP (184 kW), 275 HP (202 kW) and 340 HP (250 kW). The production variant of the Maserati Levante is expected to be introduced at the 2016 NAIAS, in Detroit, next January, but it will become available for order close to the end of the year.
