The German based automaker Audi has recently announced that no less than 500, 000 units of the A1 have been put together so far, with the last one rolling off the assembly line in Brussels.
The Audi A1 has turned out to be one successful vehicle as the company has managed to produce no less than 500, 000 units over the years. According to the car manufacturer, the 500,000th unit of the Audi A1 has recently rolled off the assembly line in Brussels.
“The King’s visit on the jubilee of the Audi A1 is a special honor for the Brussels team. Our employees here produce the A1 family with experience, skill and passion, and at the same time demonstrate the international competitiveness of the plant in Belgium”, said Thomas Sigi, the Audi board of management member for Human Resources.
The 500,000th model of the Audi A1 to roll off the production line came in a Misano red finish and it was equipped with the S line package. Power was provided by a 1.4 liter TFSI engine and it was aimed towards a customer living in Germany. The supermini has been in production since 2010 and it is currently being assembled in Brussels, Belgium, only. It is offered in two body styles, with a variety of engines and transmissions.
