The production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder has recently leaked in a few images which have hit the web.
After the concept version of the Porsche 918 Spyder has kept headlines for a few months just earlier this year, the final production variant of the supercar is now ending up in our news, thanks to some patent images which have been posted by a Chinese website. The looks of the 918 Spyder are easily recognizable and the model is expected to get just small modifications compared to the prototypes.
Rumors are saying that the final production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder will get a 4.6 liter V8 engine under its hood, producing 580 HP (432 kW) and more than 500 Nm of torque (369 lb-ft). The petrol burner will be helped on the way by two electric motors, which are generating 245 HP (183 kW) in a combined output. The total output developed by the hybrid supercar will be approximately 795 HP (593 kW) and 780 Nm of torque (575 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the first electric motor will power the front wheels while the second one will send its power to the rear axle.
