The final production version of the BMW i3 has recently leaked all over the web, ahead of its public debut, scheduled for the 29th of July.
After announcing the first official details with the brand new BMW i3, along with its price list for Europe and for the United States too, just a few days ago, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, but this time not by the company but by the guys at autoblog.nl, who have managed to get their hands on some interesting pictures of the model, which are actually revealing the production-spec from just about every angle.
The brand new BMW i3 will get a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor in the entry-level version, which is good for 170 HP (125 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) will be done in 7.2 seconds and top speed will be limited to 150 km/h (93 mph). The range will stand at approximately 130 to 160 km (81 to 100 miles) on a single charger. The other version of the i3 will get a two-cylinder 650cc motorcycle engine too, which will act as a generator, and it will allow the range to increase to 300 km (180 miles). Prices for the BMW i3 will be set at just under 35,000 EUR.
