Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the production version of the Cross Up! during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month.
After we have seen it a few months ago in its prototype form, the Volkswagen Cross Up! is ending up in our news once again, this time with an announcement made by the German based automaker. According to the car manufacturer, the VW Cross Up! will be officially presented to the public in its final production form next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The model will go on sale across the Old Continent this summer.
“Volkswagen is expanding its range of striking Cross models with the Cross up!, which will go on sale in Europe from late summer. It will join the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran models, which have been a big success in Europe”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The Volkswagen Cross Up! will use the same 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol engine under its hood, which is producing 75 HP. The unit will be mated to the five-speed manual transmission which will send power to the front-wheel drive. Additional details on the final production version of the VW Cross Up! are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
