Chinese-Israeli car manufacturer Qoros has released a teaser image with the so-called 2 PHEV, which will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, on the 20th of April.
Qoros is planning on expanding its vehicle lineup and one of the models which will add more customers into the brand will be the Qoros 2 PHEV. The model in question has been teased recently for the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, opening its gates on the 20th of April, and it is believed to offer a preview of a future B-segment crossover, a true rival for models such as the MINI Countryman, the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur, Opel Mokka, Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport and so on.
As its name is also suggesting it, the brand new Qoros 2 PHEV will be placed below the current range of compact vehicles which include the 3 Sedan, the 3 Hatch and the 3 City SUV and it has been developed, apparently, in just 10 weeks, in the Qoros Studios in Munich and Shanghai, under the close watch of Gert Volker Hildebrand. The vehicle will stand at 4.2 meters in length and it will be taking its power form a plug-in hybrid powertrain, with the electrified rear axle, meaning that it will get all-wheel drive. Qoros hasn’t announced anything yet on a possible production version of the new 2 PHEV but don’t act too surprised if you will see it in a showroom nearby, in the near future.
