Qoros will pull the wraps off its first compact sedan during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Produced by the Chinese company Chery, the Qoros is expected to become the first successful Chinese carmaker in Europe. The very first model to see daylight, made by Qoros, will be the so-called GQ3 Sedan, and the model will make its public debut next year, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. Qoros is promising an attractive exterior design, the latest technologies and a five-star rating in Euro NCAP for the GQ3 sedan.
The Qoros GQ3 has been designed by Kurt Volker Hildebrand, the same person who has drawn the first MINI generation after the brand was reinvented. Hildebrand has also worked for Opel, Seat, Audi, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi and now he is collaborating with Qoros. The Chinese carmaker isn’t offering any details on the engine lineup which will be adopted by the GQ3 Sedan but we know that the model will be produced at a plant which will be opened in 2013 in Changshu. Magna Steyr, Bosch, Continental, TRW, Microsoft or Icconmobile are some of the big names in the industry which will provide parts for the Qoros GQ3. The first cars will arrive on the Old Continent in autumn, 2013.
