The Ferrari 458 Challenge has received an upgrade program signed by German motorsport tuner Racing One, which will add some interesting items to the Italian supercar.
According to the tuning company, the new Ferrari 458 Challenge has received features like the chassis upgrades, the several suspension and Brembo braking kit modifications, an aerodynamic package, adding the front lip spoiler and canards and some other “visual” tweaks. As far as the engine goes, the Italian supercar is getting the same 4,497cc unit under its hood, but this is now producing a total output of 620 HP (456 kW). Racing One didn’t provide any pricing details or availability for this upgrade kit.
The standard version of the Ferrari 458 Challenge has been officially unveiled during the Ferrari Annual Dealer Meeting, back in 2010, and this is the latest Challenge racer, which can lap the Fiorano test track in just 1:16.5s, faster than its predecessor, the F430 Challenge, but 0.2s slower than the Ferrari FXX. The model in question is getting reduced weight thanks to the use of lightweight materials, a racing cockpit, windows which open through small slots, racing fuel filler cap, racing rims, an air-jack on the rear end and much more.
