Ferrari is planning to give a brand new LaFerrari to either Fernando Alonso or Kimi Raikkonen, if one of them manages to win the Formula 1 title next year.
As you are probably used to in the articles written today, the announcement hasn’t been made official by the Maranello based automaker but it’s part of a report, published by thesupercarkids.com. According to our source, Kimi Raikkonen or Fernando Alonso will receive a brand new Ferrari LaFerrari next year, if one of them will manage to triumph in the 2014 Formula 1 championship. The supercar in question has been already sold out but the company will produce an extra unit.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is the carmaker’s first ever hybrid supercar and this has also become the fastest ever road going vehicle produced in Maranello, taking the title away from the front mid-engined, rear-wheel drive F12 Berlinetta. The LaFerrari is taking its power from a 6.3 liter V12 engine, with its 800 HP (588 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, backed up by a 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) electric motor. The total output produced is 963 HP (708 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes less than 3 seconds in the hybrid supercar and top speed stands at more than 350 km/h (217 mph).
