Just to make sure everyone will notice you driving around town in the gas guzzling pickup truck of choice is hard work in the States, where there’s an overabundance of such models.
But Ram is making sure you’ll be able to stand out in a crowd, though you might have to hurry as only 2,250 black and yellow trucks will be manufactured in the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport limited series. The new edition will reach dealerships later on this month and the new Ram Stinger Yellow 1500 Sport is of course… very yellow. This is pretty much the same hue adopted by the very limited (found only in Texas) Ram 1500 Yellow Rose of Texas. This time around exclusivity is only guaranteed by the limited production, with the model only offered as a crew cab. All of the Ram Stinger Yellow 1500 Sport examples will also get treated to a ventilated hood, a dual exhaust system, and 20- or 22-inch alloy wheels.
The unique styling is also at home inside the beefy truck where designers have opted for black leather seats with colored “sport mesh” inserts. They also have “Sport” embroidery, Ram logos on the headrests, and yellow contrast stitching. The changes are completed via the Light Black Chrome trim and an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation and a rearview camera. Under the hood sits the mighty 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, spilling out 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It has been linked to an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and there’s also an optional all wheel drive system – with EPA fuel economy ratings standing in at 15 miles per gallon city, 22 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined. Pricing for the 2,250-unit limited series kicks off at $44,340.
