Land Rover has recently announced its plans to introduce the Range Rover Hybrid and the Range Rover Sport Hybrid next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The brand new Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport will receive two new versions which will be highly appreciated by celebrities because they will wear some popular badges for the days we live in” Hybrid. The two SUVs will be powered by a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, producing 215 kW and 600 Nm of torque, backed up by an electric motor, generating 35 kW. The total output produced stands at 250 kW at 4,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque, available between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm.
Power will be sent to the four-wheel drive through the same eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and the Range Rover Sport Hybrid will be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds while the Range Rover Hybrid the acceleration is only two-tenths behind the same speed. Average fuel consumptions stands at 6.4L / 100 km in both vehicles and the CO2 emissions at 169 g/km. Additional details on the Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid will be announced during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
