The British based automaker Land Rover is planning to rival the upcoming Bentley SUV by moving upmarket and becoming a direct competitor for the luxury model.
Rumors on Bentley producing an SUV have been around even before the EXP 9 F Concept was unveiled in Geneva last year but an official decision hasn’t been taken just yet and it’s expected to be taken over the following months. If it will indeed hit the market in a couple of years, the Bentley SUV won’t have a direct rival, because it will be more luxurious, comfortable and expensive than the Range Rover.
That is until now, because Land Rover is planning to move its Range Rover upmarket in order to become a direct competitor for the upcoming Bentley. The British company will eventually have to rival with another luxury SUV from Volkswagen which will wear the Lamborghini badges on its body. JLR didn’t announce any official details on a possible upgraded Range Rover or even on a brand new model which might become a direct competitor for the Bentley SUV, but rumors are saying that this will be priced at approximately 200,000 euros in its home market.
