Land Rover has been spotted while testing the brand new Range Rover Sport RS, as the model in question is believed to make its public debut later on this year.
The new top of the line version of the Range Rover Sport, the RS, has been caught on camera by our spy photographers once again, while it was being tested. The model in question is being developed along with its smaller brother, the Evoque RS, which is believed to be unveiled first, but knowing how Land Rover works, chances are both models will be making their way onto the 2014 Paris Motor Show, this October.
The Range Rover Sport RS prototype has bigger air intakes at the front which is the first indicative of a sportier model. The powerful SUV will be lighter and it will get improved suspension and brakes. The vehicle will be riding on an aluminum chassis and chances are it will get a 5-liter supercharged V8 engine, with 510 HP. We’re not excluding the 550 HP monsters in the new XFR-S, the XKR-S or the XJS, made by Jaguar. The supercharged version of the current Range Rover Sport can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and chances are the RS will drop below the 5-second mark.
