The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently announced a recall for the 2009 Borrego SUV models, because of a problem with the brake pedal mounts.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 21,942 units of the 2009 Kia Borrego SUV, manufactured between the 2nd of May 2008 and the 20th of January 2009, will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to the problem with the brake pedal mounts fixed. The NHTSA is saying that a potential defect in the brake pedal mount might affect the vehicles equipped with non-adjustable brake pedals which can even lead to the roll of the SUVs.
