The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced a recall for the brand new 2014 Versa Note, because of some problems with seat and undercarriage bolts.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, approximately 13,000 units of the brand new 2014 Nissan Versa Note will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of some issues involving seat and undercarriage bolts. The NHTSA says that the bolts used in the rear seat back latch are not strong enough and they can break in case of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
No reports on possible accidents or injuries, related to this problem, have been received by the carmaker. The company’s dealers have already been informed by the recall and now owners of the 2014 Nissan Versa Note will receive letters from the carmaker. The dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and fix or replace the bolts free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in mid August. Additional details on the subject are limited for the moment but if you own such a vehicle, you can find out more by contacting your local Nissan dealership or the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
