Recall roundup: 465,000 Ford and Lincoln vehicles image

The North American based automaker Ford has recently announced a recall for approximately 465, 000 of its cars, because of a problem with the fuel tanks, which may leak.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of approximately 465,000 cars produced by Ford will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealership because of a problem with the fuel tanks, which may leak. The NHTSA says that if ignored, the leaky fuel tanks problem might increase the risk of a crash and / or injury and it might transform the Ford vehicle into a torch.

The Ford vehicles affected by this recall include the Fusion, Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT and Lincoln MKZ. The Police Utility and the Police Interceptor didn’t escape either. Out of the 465,000 vehicles affected, 390,000 were sold in the United States, 23,000 in Canada, 7,600 in Mexico and the rest of them in Europe and other regions. The affected cars are from the 2013 model year. If you own one of the vehicles mentioned above, from the 2013 model year, you should contact your local Ford dealership.
