Acura has recently issued a recall for the RLX because of some problems with the vehicles’ headlights.
According to the car manufacturer, there are approximately 9,700 units of the Acura RLX, in the United States, which will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problems with the headlights fixed.
“The reflective film backing material inside the headlights may delaminate, which may result in the vehicle no longer conforming to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108”, says the company in its official press release.
The affected vehicles are the 2014-2015 model year Acura RLX and happily no injuries or crashes have been reported related to this issue. Owners of these models will be notified by Acura soon and they will have to schedule an appointment with a dealer. The necessary repairs / replacements will be made free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in early February, which is also when owners will be notified.
