Audi has recently announced two separate recalls for two different problems, affecting the S6, S7, A8 and S8 models.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the first recall is affecting certain Audi S6 and Audi S7 models, from the 2013-2014 model year, which have been equipped with the 4.0 liter V8 engine and may have a tolerance issue which can lead to a fuel line leak, increasing the risk of a fire. Owners of these vehicles will be notified by Audi this month (October) and the company’s dealers will replace the fuel line, free of charge. A total of 3,594 units of the S6 and S7 will be affected by this recall.
A second problem has been spotted with certain 2013-2014 Audi A8 and Audi S8 cars, equipped with the standard sunroof. According to the NHTSA, the glass panel in the standard sunroof may shatter and the falling glass could injure vehicle occupants and distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners of these vehicles will be notified too, by the end of this month. The Audi dealers will replace the sunroof glass panel free of charge. A total of 1,120 units of the A8 and S8 will be affected by this recall. For more info you can contact Audi at 1-800-822-2834.
